Sarah Marsay

A writer and communicator with a gift for distilling complexity into readable, compelling and nuanced narrative, and a sense-maker with flair for drawing out connections and outstanding questions. Sarah is a highly skilled strategist and policymaker, with a practical goal-orientated mindset, specialising in delivering reliable, high-quality results, quickly, quietly and with kindness.

She brings breadth and depth of experience from a career in the NHS and voluntary sectors, both locally and nationally. As well as over a decade as a public participation specialist at NHS England, she has also led on patient voice, consultation and coproduction for the NHS locally, at times alongside responsibilities for complaints, and for equality and diversity. Her charity experience includes stints at Age UK, Samaritans and NHS Charities Together. Alongside facilitation, communication and hosting skills, she brings her attention to detail and context, and ability to ‘see a way through’ and find common ground in the face of complexity and shifting sands.

Sarah enjoys hill walking and is an avid reader, especially of ancient, medieval and early modern history.
