What we do
We support organisations and teams to find clarity, involve their communities, listen and collaborate with curiosity and kindness.
We are rooted in human connections, in relationships, in building shared understanding, and a belief that if we work together, and trust each other, we can find solutions to the biggest challenges and thrive in the most difficult of circumstances.
Every project, every organisation, and every context is different. We work with you to really understand ‘what’s going on’, ‘what’s the critical issue’, ‘what’s the dream’ – these conversations will shape how we work together and determine our approach.
We provide a whole project or programme approach from desktop review of policy, strategy and existing insight, through to design, hosting, facilitation and recording of online and face-to-face engagement with stakeholders and communities.
We are flexible and can provide time-limited, expert support for particular aspects or components, or at times of particular pressure.
We are skilled at analysis and sense-making of findings, drawing out what is often missed and bringing this to actionable recommendations and solutions.
We are excellent communicators, delivering reports tailored to the audience.
Strategy and purpose
Supporting you to identify, revisit or refresh your vision, mission, purpose, strategy or niche as an organisation, team or partnership.
We work alongside you to go back to core principles, ask challenging questions about ultimate goals, review priorities and reconnect with your ‘north star’. This may include staff and service user engagement, understanding your story, and iterating different options and scenarios. Why are we here? What makes us unique?
Hosting, collaboration and connections
Helping you identify, connect and collaborate with the people and communities you work with, and with stakeholders, clients and partners.
We help you break down barriers and step out of silos, trusting that the collective wisdom will uncover the solutions.
We design and host purposeful events, workshops and meetings - spending time to explore the tricky issues and focus on collaborative solutions.
We deliver inclusive focus groups, run surveys, have individual conversations, and connect with community or professional groups.
We have particular experience in involving excluded, often stigmatised and less well heard and served groups of people.
We are Art of Hosting and Harvesting Conversations that Matter practitioners and trained Flow Game hosts, both practices which invite creativity, agency and the unexpected into exploring meaningful questions together. We also have experience with Non-Violent Communication techniques, Deep Democracy approaches and Systemic Constellations practices, enabling us to effectively support you to lean into and learn from conflict and to have sensitive conversations in a compassionate way.
Problem-solving and creative design
Working with you and your team to approach service / pathway / programme design or redesign with clarity, creativity and purpose, approaching persistent challenges or emerging threats from new angles.
We help you to involve different people, ask different questions, and explore together in new ways.
How can we future proof our offer?
How can we design a service we’re proud of?
How can we work more effectively and efficiently?
How can we be more inclusive?
How can we build trust?
Learning, development and training
Meeting the learning and development needs of your team - we work with you to understand the needs, areas of strength and areas for improvement, and design participatory solutions tailored to the interests of your people and your business.
We endeavour to be fully inclusive and are skilled at creating spaces that feel welcoming and safe for learning together.
We offer training in hosting participatory and purposeful meetings and events, facilitation and collaborative working.
Client reviews
“All About People have been a valuable delivery partner, providing learning and support to local NHS, VCSE and statutory partnerships as part of the Volunteering for Health programme. Their extensive knowledge of the working contexts, strengths and pressures for all three sectors, enables them to respond and support appropriately as the partnerships navigate the substantial and unforeseen changes taking place in health and care. All of them are committed to working in a tailored and meaningful way, adapted to meet the needs of each assignment to ensure the high-quality outcomes and outputs.”
—Volunteering Lead, NHS England“It was a pleasure to work with such bright, thoughtful, innovative, knowledgeable and truly people focussed consultants. Our project explored voices underrepresented in our history. We worked with migrant communities, the trans and non-binary community, and the autistic community to explore themes of self and what stories should be shared to represent their communities to ensure full representation in heritage stories. All About People exceeded our hopes building strong, authentic relationships that, in turn, built trust in our organisation.“
— Heritage Manager, Crewe Town Council“The team are skilled and talented practitioners and leaders who bring creativity, wisdom, warmth and professionalism to everything they do. All the team are brilliant facilitators at every level as well as being experienced policy makers, strategists and creative problem solvers. They are a pleasure to work with – challenging when it’s needed but always with a focus on getting the best possible outcomes.”
